Description

Our handmade Jasmine Pearls deliver one of the world's finest jasmine teas. Soft young green tea buds are infused with fresh jasmine blossoms to make a heady, fragrant, infusion. Most so-called jasmine tea is artificially scented, but ours is completely natural, capturing the delicacy of the jasmine flower without overwhelming the sweet, creamy softness of the green tea. This is why it has won multiple stars at the Great Taste Awards every time it's been entered.

This tea is also available in loose leaf.

The long green tea buds are hand-picked from the young green tea plants and are heated soon after picking to arrest oxidation of the leaves. They are then carefully stored for several weeks until the jasmine flowers blossom. The tea buds are very skilfully hand rolled into perfect spheres and layered over several nights with the fresh jasmine blossoms.

Jasmine tea is great with food - as delicious with a light summer lunch as it is with dim sum or a winter supper, it also makes a fabulous iced tea and a cocktail ingredient. Can also be used in cooking - try as an inspired way to add authentic jasmine flavour to rice. This is one of the few authentic Jasmine teas available in the UK and was made by our own supplier.

At the Great Taste Awards it was independently blind-tasted by a series of panels - comprising passionate foodies, food industry heavyweights and well-known restaurateurs - and was judged to be the best.

Great Taste Awards 2009: Three Gold Stars and Great Taste Awards 2010: Two Gold Stars.

  • THE BEST IN THE WORLD !

by Nick on 4th of March

These Jasmine Pearls are the best in the world . I have travelled all over the globe and can not find any tea to touch this beautiful brand . The Pyramid bags are great . I leave mine in for 4 minuets not 1-2 as recommended for an outstanding result .

  • Jasmine Pearls Pyramid

by Ray on 3rd of March

Still the freshest, still the best there is anywhere. I tried another brand as a stopgap but they were bitter with very little Jasmine flavour, so I won't be doing that again, I will just need to get my order in before I run out.

  • Sorry!

by Stella on 29th of January

This pack just did not live up to the name Jasmine Pearls. I've watched this tea being made in China - with the grower throwing the beautiful blossoms onto the dried leaves. I love my jasmine tea and I had some wonderful stuff from you some time ago, but this was tasteless and what I might have expected from a much less specialist company for a fraction of the price. Like the previous reviewer, I wondered if I had just got a bad bag. I would very much appreciate a free sample of something that tastes like your old jasmine tea to prove that it is still available.

  • does not brew to full flavour

by LanaNewTeaAddict on 13th of October

I am sorry to be probably the first negative review. Everyone keeps raving about full flavor but I don't feel so at all. In a normal tea-brewing time, it turns out so faintly flavored that I stopped drinking it. Could it be that my pack was faulty?

  • Great fresh flavour and lots of scent

by Joel on 5th of October

Really pleased. Will definitely order again. Have tried other jasmine teas but the flavour is often too subtle. No such problems here. Great quality well-scented tea.
